Terms of Service

Rate:

The rate is $200/hr. There is a one hour minimum to book, and you can book blocks of hours to work with your budget.

Please communicate your limitations, all walks of life are invited to connect. Your session begins when scheduled, and is clocked to the nearest quarter-hour (15 minutes) upon completion after the first hour. Time quotes are estimated only, your session may be shorter or longer depending on how things go.

Deposit/Design Fees:

Every new tattoo requires a deposit/design fee. The artist needs to be creatively involved with the design. You are welcome to present sketches or drawings for reference images though it is agreed that the final product will be created through the artist’s vision.

There is a $200 deposit/design fee to begin for all projects. This is non-refundable and serves to cover the design time, as well as to hold your session spot. Half of this deposit ($100) will be applied back to you as credit towards the final total at the end of your session. Please note that if you are booking a session for the continuation of a project that is within 6 months of starting, this may be applied back to you in full towards the total at the end of your session.

Large scale/multiple session tattoos have a $400-$600 deposit/design fee depending on the size and complexity, body location, and if it involves coverup work. Half of this fee will be applied back to you as credit towards the final total at the end of your final session - per project. For example: if you pay a design fee/deposit for a half-sleeve and then decide you want to go full sleeve, a second design fee/deposit will be established.

Full Day Sessions are a flat rate of $1200 with a more flexible time allowance from 6-9 hours, depending on the project.

Pre-drawn available Flash Tattoo Designs are essentially ready-to-go tattoo designs that will not be replicated. As pieces that the artist is inspired to do, these pieces have only a $100 deposit which is applied in full towards the final total at the end of your session, and flash sessions have a two hour minimum.

Consultations:

Scheduling an In-Person Consultation is a great way to meet personally, and discuss your tattoo concept, look at your reference images together, and pictures will be taken of the area of your body where you are wanting to get the tattoo done. It is also nice for you to become acquainted with a private studio atmosphere, and to learn about the process.

Consultations are FREE, and a design fee/deposit is due when you feel ready to book your session.

Email consultations are also available if you live outside the local area, or if your tattoo needs have special circumstances.

Cancellations:

Cancellations made 5 days or more before your scheduled session qualify to have the deposit rolled over to a new session time as long as it is rescheduled within 30 days (if available).  Less than 5 days notice will forfeit the deposit, and must pay a new deposit and reschedule within 30 days.

Cancellations due to inclement weather will be rescheduled to next available session time.

Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be charged the rate for the time estimate given for the lost session. This must be paid to reschedule, and as an act of compassion for sudden changes, 20% of this of this will be applied as credit back to you in good faith towards your rescheduled session, and your original deposit credit will also roll over if the session is rescheduled within 30 days (if available).

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the private studio like?

Your tattoo experience is greatly improved when your body is in a calm and relaxed environment. There are no phones ringing off the hook, no random folks peeping in at you while you endure your pain, and the artist has her attention focused 100% on you for your entire session. The studio space is inside a brick office plaza, we have a comfortable double-room container with no walk-in traffic, and easy to access off of Merrimon Avenue in North Asheville. There is free parking available in front of the building and an overflow lot behind the building. The studio has a waiting/lounge area with hot tea and spring water available, a private bathroom, and a separate room where the tattoos are performed with single-use and sterile equipment and machinery.

Conversation is available and can be a nice way to distract from the pain, you are also welcome to listen to headphones and check-out. If you choose to be audibly present, you get to chose the music you want to listen to while you get tattooed!

What can I expect the day of my session?

Your artist is ready at your scheduled session time, please be on time. Your session may involve some preliminary designing process: preparation of the area, stenciling, Sharpie free-hand drawing time and adjustments to ensure the design fits, flatters and enhances your body’s natural beauty. Feel free to bring snacks and any other items for comfort or distraction such as a blanket and headphones.

Can I bring someone with me to my session?

Tattooing is a very focused and intentional practice of permanent transformation and minimizing distractions enables the artist to perform optimally. It is requested that you come prepared to experience your tattoo session by yourself. The exception to this is when more than one person will be getting tattooed, please read about Tandem Sessions below.

Do you offer Couple’s or Tandem Sessions?

Yes! Have you and your partner, sibling, friend or loved-one been wanting to get tattoos? Tandem sessions are a great way to solidify the bond between two or more people, find closure from a shared loss, or celebrate togetherness. Tandem sessions are booked at a full day rate which includes design time, breaks, and station re-setting for up to five people depending on the design desired and body locations chosen.

Do you give previews of the design?

In order to honor the tattoos scheduled each week it is not feasible to provide design previews before the day of your session. This is one benefit of scheduling an in-person consultation where your ideas are shared and gel together with the artist’s input into a cohesive plan. Trust in the process is essential, and understanding the magic of creation is rewarded with a successful tattoo experience.

Do you offer Touch Ups?

Yes, touch ups are available after your tattoo has healed and settled completely, usually by week 3 or 4. Please note that due to the unpredictable factors of personal after-care, touch-ups are offered at a 1/2 hour rate ($100), and while efficiency and coverage is thoroughly checked and assured at the end of the session, occasionally the artist will miss a spot. Please email pictures of the healed tattoo schedule a touch-up session.
